RIP Brooklyn Roof

Brooklyn is all about gentrification these days right? Brooklyn will even gentrify the gentrified. While living in NY, I happened to live off the L in one of the most well known loft spaces off of Bushwick. The McKibbin Lofts were well known at one point for being the home of Anonymous, wild parties, bed bugs and 4 bedroom apartments with 10+ tenants. By the time I moved in it was beginning a slow transition from cheap flats for broke artists, to arguably still cheaper quality apartments at extremely expensive prices. And part of that process meant saying goodbye to the graffiti covered roof.

You were beautiful and ever changing. I will always miss you.
